Christmas at ERICA

After reading the Christmas story, the students worked on translating "Silent Night" back into their own languages. We ended the class with some lively conversation about cultural Christmas traditions.

ELI Christmas Party

After the final exam in Intermediate Vocabulary Development, we got to read a Christmas story, have cupcakes, and take some final pictures. Thank you for all the nice gifts. I love teaching ESL!

Active Listening with the Burmese

During WorkStyles we played a game trying to acomplish some active listening in English ONLY! This was a hilarious 30 minutes as the Burmese students tried to tell each other what to draw/write in the appropriate grid.

WorkStyles Graduation

At the end of our 2 week session of WorkStyles we celebrate with a party! The refugees receive their certificate as well as their typed resume. Then we dig into all the great food they bring from their countries.

ERICA End of Session Party

We only had a small gathering for our end of session party at ERICA but we had some fantastic Russian and Ukranian food! We also tried cupcakes for the first time ever!! Congrats to Ali for winning the CASAS Challenge.
